Drama

Drama introduces the basic concepts of theater arts. Students will use various creative drama techniques to build confidence and trust, stimulate imagination, movement, and utilize role-play. Through dramatic games and activities, scholars will learn to lose inhibitions and gain trust in themselves and other group members. Scholars will learn and use theatrical vocabulary during class discussions which will specifically address the promotion and reinforcement of literacy skills. Scholars will exhibit and reinforce their skills through individual and group presentations, school performances, script-reading, and journals.
